Edward G. Becher

Mr. Becher is a retired U.S.Marine Corps Master Sergeant who served tours of duty at the American Embassies in Amman, Jordan and Santiago, Chile assigned to Embassy and Ambassadorial Security. After retirement Mr.Becher became a Uniformed Protective Services Officer for the U.S. Dept. of State in Washington DC and assigned to provide protection for then Sec. of State Madelyn Albright. Additional protective assignments included the Dalia Lama, and the Peace Talks at Camp David. From March of 2001 thru June 2007, Mr.Becher was assigned as the Chief Instructor for the Uniformed Protection Branch responsible for the Basic and In Service training of over 1000 officers assigned to the Uniformed Protection Branch nationwide. After leaving the Uniformed Protection Branch, Becher & Associates was formed as a developer of training programs for the private security industry in Virginia. In April 2008, Mr. Becher moved to Michigan and continues to provide quality training to security professionals. Mr. Becher is a member and of the National Association of Bail Enforcement Agents and was on the Board of Directors of the Professional Investigators and Security Association in Virginia.
