MI Security Training was formed with the desire to improve the education and training that private security professionals receive and to insure that it is top quality.

MI Security Training. was founded by Edward Becher, a retired US Marine Corps Master Sergeant and former Chief Instructor for the United States Department of States Uniformed Protection Branch. Mr. Becher saw a need for quality training for those working in the private security industry in Michigan.
Company history
Becher & Assoc. was first formed in Virginia and relocated to historic Sturgis, MI. in April 2008. In June 2009 operations were moved to Kalamazoo, MI, where the name was changed to Michigan Security Training. 
Training programs can be provided anywhere in the state of Michigan dependent upon needs.
MI Security Training, then Becher & Assoc.,  has developed training programs for private security training schools in Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland, along with high profile government contracts for security officer, personal protection specialist and private investigators in core subjects along with basic and advanced firearms training.
